What you can feel in Dead by Daylight
Each of these can vibrate, shock, ramp up, pulse in waves or open a mystery box. Or do nothing at all; you turn on only what you want.

How it knows what happened
Dead by Daylight's own files are encrypted, so sideQuest reads the survivor portraits in the bottom left of your screen, like recording software sees them. It recognises by itself whether you play survivor or killer, and only reacts while a match is running and the game is the active window. It never reads the game's memory.
Every action goes through sideQuest's safety limits first: hard caps for strength and length, shocks off until you arm them, and STOP on every page.
What you need
- Windows 10 or 11
- An XToys account with your toy connected
- Windows HDR off while playing (Win + Alt + B)
- Your in-game HUD scale, if you changed it
Set up in three steps
After the one-time XToys setup, this is all Dead by Daylight needs.
Turn on Dead by Daylight
On sideQuest's Games tab, switch it on. If you changed the HUD scale in the game's graphics settings, enter the same value.
Choose what you feel
Pick an action for each moment. The second hook can hit harder than the first, and skill checks can tease.
Play
sideQuest notices the match, your role and the end screen by itself. Nothing happens in the lobby or menus.
Dead by Daylight questions
Can this get me banned in Dead by Daylight?
sideQuest only takes screenshots of your screen, the same way OBS or Discord screen sharing does. It never reads or changes the game's memory or files, so Easy Anti-Cheat has nothing to find. No tool can promise what an anti-cheat will do, but sideQuest stays away from everything it looks for.
Does it work as killer?
Yes. sideQuest recognises your role by itself, and as killer it reacts to what happens to the survivors, including every kill up to the 4K.
Nothing happens in my match. What now?
Turn Windows HDR off (Win + Alt + B) and check that the HUD scale in sideQuest matches the game's. The Games tab shows what sideQuest currently sees.
